When Sonja Smith joined Corbett Exterminating more than 25 years ago, she had no idea that she would help develop and grow one of the largest minority-owned pest control companies in the country.
Sonja began her career at Corbett as an effective office manager. As the company grew, so did her responsibilities. A quick learner and adroit people person, Sonja proved herself to be indispensable and rapidly rose through the ranks to become vice president of operations, helping Corbett shape its long-term strategic vision and aggressive growth plans.
Sonja has always believed that an educated, well-trained employee is the company’s strongest asset. To keep the company competitive and on the fast track, she has implemented Corbett’s unparalleled training program that uses advanced learning concepts and techniques to facilitate all company education for managers, new employees and technicians. And, once a month, she holds a workshop to target specific areas of protocol and procedures. Sonja also helped create and update the Corbett Training Manual to maintain the company’s high standards of quality.
With her eyes firmly set on the future, Sonja looks forward to continued company growth, specifically the establishment of more satellite offices in states beyond the Northeast.
